buildingSMART International Forum Announcement

buildingSMART International (bSI) is delighted to announce the launch of the buildingSMART® Forum, the latest step in its online presence transformation. This new public platform will connect the global built asset community by providing more interactive information and discussions about buildingSMART openBIM® standards and activities. Would you like to know more about IFC 2x3 certifications? Or you’d like to discuss the progress of IFC4? Maybe you’ve got an idea to pitch regarding new IFC-based workflows and are looking for like-minded collaborators or you have a general question about openBIM that you’d like help answering? The buildingSMART® Forum helps connect you with global experts and industry peers of all types on topics of interest to help share ideas and better collaborate.

This forum will be the official bSI online communication network for peer-to-peer interactions. The goal of the forum is to enhance the experience of end users, software developers, and other industry experts in the development, implementation, and practical use of buildingSMART International standards and the technologies that support them.

Some things you might like to know:

  • It is open for the public to sign-up, for free. No buildingSMART membership is required.
  • It will be moderated by buildingSMART community experts from all over the world.
  • This will replace the various LinkedIn buildingSMART Groups and any other non-bSI communication outlets.
